Ebay. Get the silicone coated one (looks like a semi circular dome). Cheap as chips for a 6m roll and you can cut and solder to suit.
Thats what I did in my 6m centre console 2.5 years back.
Suggest perhaps getting soft white light strip and a red strip if you have the options as it is difficult to drive at night with a white glow coming from the boat.
Lol, just posted about this on a useful hack thread. I got the silicone coated 15mtr strip off ebay, had it 6 months and been holding up really well. I mounted mine under the gunnels in my tinnie but ran the strip lights through clear tube hoping this would help with logevity and being knocked around a bit.
