They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them.
I listened to the one from Anzac Cove on the radio, and you could hear the water lapping at the shoreline throughout the ceremony giving that little bit more eeriness.
Lest we forget all the servicemen and woman who have protected us from the evils of this world. Well Done!! RIP to all the brave and valiant who have fallen to give us all a better life!
We owe all those who have allowed us to enjoy the life style we have and, all of us have the duty to see that none of the hard won freedoms and enjoyments are lost to those who seek to erode the Australian life style, values and way of life which, has been paid for by the blood of our young men and women who have served and do serve in the uniform of Australia's defence forces.
I'm now 72 years of age and have been playing in a brass band since I was 15. ANZAC Day has always been a big day, whether in Busselton, where I started, to Wanneroo Challenge Brass, where I now play. Lately, the turnouts have been growing each year. Today we started at the Wanneroo service at 7.00am, followed by the Yanchep service at 11.00am and finally the Scarborough service at 3.00pm. In all a full day and each service was packed. It's good to see the young people getting involved. Not to celebrate war, but to recognise the sacrifice of the many. Lest we forget.
Your 2 years older than me, but being of similar ages we are able to relate to the Anzac service better than many as we are of an age where we have grown up
I am an ex serviceman (army) I joined the army when Australia wasn't involved in any conflicts , for that reason I don't march (I don't fell like I deserve to) I do attend the dawn service thou to show my respect,

Lest we forget
Amen to all of the above.
Just watched the services at Gallipoli and Villers- Bretonneux.
We have much to be thankful for and we owe it to ourselves and the whole world to see that it never happens again.

LEST WE FORGET
Poppy.
Good onya.
A for playing in a band for so long
B for doing your bit on ANZAC Day.
Your 2 years older than me, but being of similar ages we are able to relate to the Anzac service better than many as we are of an age where we have grown up
with people that served in WW1 AND WW11.
Cheers
