Line choice for bream in the swan?

Seeing a few people getting into some great bream latley and was wondering how i should go about it. I used to fish for them alot as a kid with soft placcys and did well but now with the new blade type lures out im keen to try them. Ive youtubed the technique which im sure i could suss out. Just a question on what line to use, currently 8lb braid on my 2500 stradic and im not sure if its too high. Should i be going for something smaller?

Also leader what do you use and do you tie the leader straight to the blade or to a tine clip swivel?

Cheers

Sha

8 lb sunline super pe seem to work fine still flicks the lures a fair way. i dont really have a favourite leader just find flurocarbon works and i like to use the clips easier to change

Yeah 8lb fireline is fine, definately use a flurocarbon leader. Berkley Vanish leader is great for the price and has proved to work well. (even just the berkley vanish line is flurocarbon and works great) I was using 4lb of this line (not the leader) and still landed 3 bream on blades 3 days ago in the swan :)

Well you guys are def doing better than. Lost my blade to a snag after 2hours switching to a small plastic. I did buy some 6lb flurocarbon. I tried the belmont ski park area for naught and now just moved to the Windan bridge. Water seems very dark this way maybe I'm in the wrong area.
