live baby mullet swan river

hi all, just wondering if baby mullet are any good for the swan, manly arround narrows, blackwall reach and the canning bridge

hi matt , we have caught some stonker bream(2kg+) over the years on very small mullet at the causeway and at the narrows using a very small (1/0) 2 hook snelled rig and running sinker. cheers

if you can get hold of 1,they make great bait for any fish that take a live bait,even the good old mulloway if they are still around

i believe it is illegal in the river but most people wouldn't have a problem with people gathering bonies/mullet for live bait , but i 've heard of people getting busted for using them to target bream.

supposedly in the river you can do whateva you want.... throw nets..... undersize tailor as bait... its all fair game apparently
