up until last year we would maybe see 1 or 2 in a season, we had 5 in the boat from 6 pots in one day last year, something going on making them more and more common
Keep your peepers wide open guys, these things can turn your day bad real quick. The thing to remember is if you can apply CPR until you get to shore the person who has been bitten has a good chance of surviving.
I fish out of Rockingham, we were getting 1 blue ring to every cray last week, one was the biggest ive ever seen, be the size of a kids hand, we have tubs under the tipper so when they fall out of the pot theyre contained but this bigger one was climbing the tub, gave us all the creaps!

Thought I had 1 on Sunday was using a knife to carefully pick it up to show the Mrs but it was just a upside-down starfish, very small one.

Would be interesting to know how many the pros are getting and from which areas.
for safety reasons alone this should be documented.

Sunday
Got our first (that we have seen) on Sunday out of Ocean Reef. Tiny little bugger sitting in the corner of the pot.
I did then the best that I knew how. When I knew better, I did better.
