Lowrance elite 9 Ti2 v Garmin Echomap plus 95sv

Morning Gents
Looking at a new sounder/GPS unit and considering the Lowrance Elite 9 Ti2 and Garmin Echomap plus 95sv. Any advice from experience much appreciated. I fish up to 60m and do a lot of work inshore 7-20m so keen to get onto side scan.
Research tells me the GT 52 tranny which comes packaged with the Garmin unit is not that great and upgrading to the GT 51 is worthwhile.
I fish from an open tinny so also need something that is easy to read and doesn't mind a bit of unavoidable salt splash.
Cheers
Tom

Hey Mate
We use the Garmin one you said we have had no problems with it at all, you can still see it from the back of the boat easy enough.
menus are easliy navigated thru and side scan and everything seems to work really good

Cheers mate, thanks for the input. Just wondering how you go with the mapping on the unit? Is it easy to read and detailed? Apparently you can't run Navionics on this unit?
Thanks!

Hey Tommo
ive got the 95sv with upgraded GT-52 transducer
i find it reads traditional well in most depths up to a 120mtrs (haven’t tried deeper)
in shallower water using sides can I don’t rate it at all
im getting a 2nd sounder for my shallow stuff possibly a Lowrance elite Ti2
