Hi All
I am trying to connect my HDS12 to the old HDS10 using an Ethernet cable. Unfortunately while some information such as waypoints etc have transferred to the HDS12, at lot of information isn't showing up. Does anyone know who are the experts on Lowrance in Perth area so I can contact them?

IP addressing
are you using a switch between them?
you cant just plug a network cable between two devices unless it is a crossover
in which case you will have to manually assign both the devices IP addresses and make the HDS12 the gateway
are any of the other devices on the boat attached to Ethernet? (radar, network sounder, pc etc?)
if you understand the below it should be easy, if not im in freo - should only take 10 minutes or so
have you considered just running an NMEA2000 or 0183 with a converter - much easier and less to fuck up
eg HDS12
