Went out on the south coast last weekend. Fishing for cod and pollack plus whiting at slack tide. Best fish was my 14lb pollack plus popey had one at 12lb, Tom had an 11lb cod and the skipper had a 9lb cod. Good weather and not a bad trip all caught a couple of whiting all about 1.5lb. Happy days.

You catch pollack all year
You catch pollack all year mate, but better now as they shoal up on deepwater wrecks to breed, easier to find. The cod are predominantly a winter fish. Sea bream are strting to be caught now and will last till autumn. Aint no bag limit on pollack or cod. THATS where UK problems lie.!!!!!
