Hi First time post!
Heading down to margaret river/yallingup this weekend and looking for some tips on fishing spots and styles (land-based), ideally would like to target tailor, with salmon a second option. I like to fish with lures so tips on that would be helpful.
cheers!

Mitchells Rock
Mitchells Rock , turn off of the Indjadup road, Yallingup beach, Rocky point on the south end of Bunker bay or the middle reef in Bunkers would be a good spot to try, all this depends on what the swell is doing

any of the beaches will hold tailor this time of year, dawn or dusk being your best options and fishing the rocky/ washy ares will produce better if using lures. Otherwise any nice gutter and fresh bait will do. For salmon best results will be on high tide pretty much anywhere along the coast, and the spots carnarvonite has mentioned are all rippers. Good luck mate

I'll add the northern point
I'll add the northern point of Shelley Cove & Willyabrup Beach to the list of locations worth trying. Canal Rocks looks really good for tailor but I'm yet to pull one from there. Heaps & heaps of hezzas at Canal Rocks though if you want to get a quick feed.
