Marine Toolbox

Starting to get together a marine toolbox for the boat. I had a fairly minimal one for the tinnie as there wasn't a lot that could go wrong.

Just curious as to what the experienced boaties/crew would consider to be essential ingredients for a marine toolbox. Obviously I don't want to carry the kitchen sink but on the other hand I don't want to forget some key item.

100 mile an hour tape - 2"

Tue, 2007-12-04 05:58

100 mile an hour tape - 2" wide cloth tape - very strong and sticky.  You see the crews in the V8's taping up panels that Lowndes has knocked off.  Always have a roll onboard.

A floating prop wrench and spare nut/tab.

Volt meter

Phone numbers of ya mechanic and local rescue.

Cheers Pete
