I recently had to replace the carpet in the centre console, last lot I bought was expensive but looked pretty nice, it was the tan stuff with the black stripes. Marine tuft I think it was called (is meant to look like teak decking) had a two year warranty so I thought I might at least get three years out of it. Lasted 18 months and fell apart. I fitted it myself which worked out OK but took a bit of time.
I was going to fit the carpet again myself however got convinced to just take it to The Trim Shop in South Freo. The guys there were exceptional, they fitted and supplied the carpet and also provided me with a template for the carpet to keep in a safe place for next time. All was done at a more than reasonable price. The fit is far better than my effort. I thought my fitting was OK till I saw what a pro fit looks like.
They have a bit of carpet there in stock or can order in pretty quickly what you want, they have all of the sample swatches so you can chose colour and type. I just went back to the normal ribbed marine carpet.
They tend to be very busy but book the boat in, drop it off and pick it up later in the day all done.

Vynalite
Have you considered Vynalite in place of carpet?
I have just taken out the clip in carpet set that came with the Haines and replaced it with this stuff, makes wash down a whole lot easier
Clarke rubber stock it, there was a great rebuild of a swift craft on here a while back where it was used so some good images of how it looks on this forum.
Just a thought.
Cheers,
Jeff

Walketex or Flotex
Im not sure if you have had the job done but I used to be a floor coverer and this stuff for mine is awsome ! its a short pile with a foam backing which does not rote you can actually clean this shit with solvent if need be!
Can buy at any carpet shop and is easy to lay and does not curl so can be laid loose on deck if need be.
Can give tips on fitting if your keen throw me a pm
