Hi everyone
looking for some feedback on the use of a Minn Kota or similar thinking of getting one to hold me on a spot rather than anchoring. I’ve read a fair bit on them anyone got one ?
cheers
Baden

Yes they do work ,if you get
Yes they do work ,if you get the min Kota get the latest as the GPS wasn't reliable.motorguide is another.
motorguide didn't need upgrading as they were a lot better.going to cost you about $3000 with batteries if you go with 24v.

If you are just looking for
If you are just looking for the spotlock (anchor) feature then you really only have the Minn Kota as a choice.
If you just want an electric then go a Watersnake. Heaps better price for the same quality.
I have had 3 Kota's and all 3 died between 2-3 years.
Watersnake still going after 5 years.
Watersnakes don't have the spotlock feature though so you need to hold yourself there (steering/thrust).
If you go the Kota then ensure it's well secured during any travel. This is what kills them (vibration/movment).
