Mobile Phone Coverage

Gents,
Any recommendations on what phone I should get (3G, next G, GSM) for best overall coverage, both for around Dampier/Karratha and also for the long drive up to Karratha?
I plan on getting a car kit put in to increase range and reception.
Suggestions greatly appreciated.

next g has the best overall coverage
dont expect to get full coverage tho as theres still a lot of ares with no coverage at all,
a cb radio would be a good back up when your on the road

I've got a next G phone but no way as good as my old CDMA (discontinued service)........so yeh next G but they're getting better apparently!
