mobile phone signal exmouth ???

i am flying up 2 exmouth on fri, for 12 days of fishing ( bring it on ). just a question, what is the phone signal up there like 4 vodaphone, or do u need telstra ?? i have a house in town. cheers ...........

Have to agree.. We were up there last school hols. I have a vodaphone....nothing past Pearce Airbase. My mother in law who came with us had a Next G Telstra phone. Worked most of the way and really well in Coral Bay and in Exmouth Town.
We are about to change over to Telstra Next G just for the better coverage. I understand that to have the best coverage you have to get the Next G sim card with the Telstra Next G phone not all phones will work properly if you just put a Next G sim card in them.

Virgin mobile worked for
Virgin mobile worked for about half the areas. The town, most of the cape, but cuts out around the lighthouse (unless you go up the hill a bit).

There is ZERO vodafone
There is ZERO vodafone coverage in exmouth as of May,but there is Optus and Virgin.

optus also works most of exxy apart from out at the lighthouse, some times it worked while out fishing from tantas
