Monteys in May

Yay the ducks are finally lining up for an epic trip to the Montebello Islands in May, It looks like a favourite haunt for the lucky few living in the Pilbara(gotta be some payback for keeping the country running eh?) well thats what my rich miner mates tell me haha. Anyway coming up from Perth for a catch n realease (maybe eat a few) trip and looking for pointers. Is there anyway to organise a fuel drop off out there? We are used to being self contained but It's nice to have a back up plan. Looks like you are spoilt for choice for overnight anchorage but is there a favourite spot? We are looking for big rather than lots so rather than embarrass you and me by asking for your hard earned spots, generally where should we be looking ? I figure If we cant catch our dinner out there we deserve to go hungry. All info will be gratefully recieved

Cheers

I'm not aware of any easy way of getting fuel out there so it's a matter of taking as much as you can in jerry cans etc.

Are you launching at dampier, fortesque or Onslow?

Talk to the charter boys up there, if they like you they will sometimes take some fuel over for you, just make sure you have the right flavour currency!
