An age ol argument on this one kido

Some people swear by a full moon for fishing for bigger hunters like mulloway and sharks. Others say a new moon is better. My recent experiences have found I have caught more tailor on a full moon.

Well we've only got one moon

Well we've only got one moon and there's no fish there, depends on what species you're chasing and who you talk to.ie Colin has his best fishing Tailor on the full where as I experience better fishing for winter Blue Salmon on the new.

Depends on the target

Depends on the target species, for GT's I fish exclusively around the new and full moons (no run, no fun) with a preference slightly towards the full moon.

For barra I dislike fishing in the creeks during spring tides so I aim to fish more around the first qtr and last qtr cycles. These neap tides are usually when most people target barra but I'm unsure if they bite better, they're just easier to fish for.

Out wide I've noticed less of an impact but saying that I still prefer to fish on the bigger tides.

lead up to the full

Love the lead up to the full moon for my bluewater fishing, the marlin just seem to be a lot more keen to eat plastic. :)
