More swan river lizards

Started out at South Perth and skated/ fished our way along the river until we reached the Canning Bridge. Managed to pick up 7 in total between myself and two mates with only one under 40cm and I was pretty happy to have caught the two largest both around the 55cm mark, one after the other. One of the guys doesn't fish and borrowed some of my gear managing to pick his first ever fish in the river, just under 45 cm flathead on soft plastics is not a bad way open the account.

All fish were taken on 3" shad soft plastics and I was fishing my 2-5 kg custom rod with a Abu Garcia Soron STX.

I reckon it was some of the best weather you could hope for when fishing the flats, light easterly blowing and nice 30+ temp. One of the better days metro fishing I have had with all fish returned to fight another day. Yew.

Not sure about the Eagles get up.  Nice fish though. How were the blowies with the soft plastics?

Thanks guys.

Hahaha I was waiting for comments on the guernsey, seems only Paully has the right idea.

Blowies can be frustrating in some patches but seem to go away when the flathead start biting. Found that the Z-man plastics seem to hold up the best and the one I had on lasted the whole session so was pretty stoked, although it is just holding on by a thread now. If anyone knows of a better plastics that can stand blowies I would love to know.
