Just wanted to recommend Laurie from Murchison boat hire
fantastic service in Kalbarri
we rented the 6.5 All about with 150hp 4stroke yamaha
on deck echo sounder and gps with waypoints
his marked over 150 spots i went to a few of them and they were fantastic
great boat great service

I second that - hired the 7.8m off him last August for the Mackerel Islands. Boat was fantastic... Service was great.
Have booked it again for August of this year.

Bones what's the go with the
Bones what's the go with the licensing restrictions on the 7.8... or any of the boats for that matter.
It's only licensed for 10 nautical miles offshore - is MBH cool with people taking it further than that? Or maybe I should say, if you take it further than the 10 is there anything they can do or any penalty they suffer etc?

he dont mind where you take it
but the water police will send you back if they catch you out any further and if anything happens there is no insurance so keep that in mind
i have hired the 6.5 three times now all was good except the last time when we where heading back from dirk hartog and we couldnt get over 8 knots whithout the engine stalling

Just like to comment on the above thread, I own Murchison Boat Hire, and thanks for all the kind comments, I try to keep you all happy and onto the fish. The problem with the stalling motor has been fixed, it was from a new fuel tap installed that was too smaller diameter and restricted enough fuel getting through. This only happened at full speed over an extended time but enough to be a worry. All fixed now with a bigger tap! Laurie

you run a great little buisness there with great service you saved us heaps of time last trip bye dropping off and picking the boat up from the highway instead of us having to drive into kalbarri , have a few freinds doing the same trip in the same boat in a few weeks

Yup, Easter is pretty chockers, only got the 5.3m boat left, and that is from a cancellation as the guy could not get accommodation! Just hope the weather is good for everyone else, and the fish copoerate. Laurie
