I buy 80% of my music.

I buy 80% of my music. Something much better about having a CD. otherwise, I use The Pirate Bay to torrent it. I use iTunes and Windows Media Player.

Havn't downloaded anything

Sun, 2011-12-04 23:41

Havn't downloaded anything for awhile now but I used to get it all from mp3searchy. Direct mp3 download to windows media player then just burn what I want onto a disc for the car. I'll stop burning discs when I update my car HU one day but for now my old alpine pumps nicely with quality sub, amp & splits. I've read stuff from lots of people that reckon they have gotten viruses etc from Pirate Bay so just something to watch out for. Shouldn't be a problem if you have good av software.

A lot of common sense comes

Mon, 2011-12-05 08:47

A lot of common sense comes into play when torrenting Graeme. Obviously, im not going to choose a torrent that says "busty brunette *** ********" etc etc. And you can be pretty safe to assume that the torrents with the most Seeders are generally safe. Also, reading the comments on Pirate Bay helps.

Music industry dying

Mon, 2011-12-05 08:21

I am assuming you are advocating the concept of "pirate" music. I can't say I agree with that. Legitimate downloads available from i-tunes etc. You don't need to buy a whole albumn online, just pick the songs you like and PAY for them.

Doesn't look like the industry is struggling that much.

If The Dave Mathews Band can make $51m this year that's definately saying something about the state of the industry

Not nesacellary Ben

I watched an inveiw with Stevie Nix (drool....) recently and she gave a very good insight into how the music industry has changed. Apart from rampant piracy, the concept of being able to download a song as opposed to buying an albumn is having a huge effect on those involved. I guess the upside is that if that song is a hit then more people will buy it alone because it is more affordable. Over time however albumns have a tendancy to grow on me and some of the lesser songs become some of my favourities. Each to their own I guess so long as it's legit

Sarcasm, not sure that

Tue, 2011-12-06 22:26

Sarcasm, not sure that question was for me, but if it was I mean that you need to upload and download with torrents and if you're on a pirvate torrent site (which are the best ones) then you'll need to maintain your ratio with uploading. Both count toward your bandwith usage.

With warezbb you do direct downloads, hence you don't use up as much of your download usage (bandwidth)

If either you want any more info/advice on it pm me more than happy to help
