Mustang Walkaround

Hi all, my bro tells me that he is seriously considering buying a Mustang W/Around 22-24ft, apparently with a 225hp Suzi 4 stroke on the back of it. It has been a long time since I have been on the water and in particular in a trailer boat. I realise that it is a bit of a generic question but has anyway had any experience with these boats, any storys - good or bad! I may be wrong but I think these boats are built over here in the west.
Cheers

Yes, we have one of
Yes, we have one of these.
Not a bad boat... They are made in Queensland.
Functional with the walk around as well as a sleepable cabin. Build quality is probably a 7/10.
We have had trouble with the canopy/clears... but I think these were fitted here in Perth so may vary boat to boat.
We had a banana boat previously and apart from staying a little drier there probably isn't a lot more than you can do in the Mustang that you couldn't do in the banana boat - and the mustang is 3 times the price.
What sort of money is he looking at? Ours was around the 80K mark new with a 200 2 stroke merc.

Thanks Peter
I have looked at a few on line since the post, they don't look to bad at all, seem to have plenty of freeboard. i think he's looking at around 60k , not to sure at the moment, it's not a new one, although the motor has low hours apparently.

there's a few used ones
there's a few used ones floating around for sale. I haven't been in one at sea but they have plenty of depth and the space is well utilized I thought. Tournament now have the moulds and make them still, a new 2250 is around the $100k mark I think.

Great hull
Ive got a new Tournament 2250 bluewater with a 250 etec ,the ride is and very soft and true ,you will like it more with trim tabs. They come with a 300ltr fuel tank and twin kill tanks on the walkaround. As Peter said the fitout is done in perth but there are always a variance be between dealers. The merc will push it along nicely and at 60k its got to be seriosly looked at.My fitout was 10/10

There are two types of people ,do'ers and watchers
Right now the do'ers are the doing it
And the watchers are watching us do it
