my PB snapper on a plastic

hey guys

i had a great day today out of rockingham catching snapper on plastics. me and my mate justin left the ramp just on sun up and within 5 mins we were at our spot. we set the pick and started the burly trail of cubed mulies and chook pellets. after 10 mins of nothing justin hooks up using a 4'' gulp and lands a lovely 6kg snapper.

after seeing him hook up and bust off on 4 other fish over the next half hour i thought its was time to chuck a lure around my self using my faithful diawa triforce and my spanking new FWA 8-10kg plastics rod i threw out a 5'' gulp jerk shad and after a few cast hooked and landed my PB snapper on a lure and the first size snapper i have caught out of a boat. it weighed dead on 10kg and measured 820mm to the fork.

after landing my snapper we shot off the the inside edge of the 5 and managed a bag of nice sand whiting and a couple of 40cm skippy. then we enjoyed a short run to the ramp in glassed off conditions after a lumpy start to the day.

cheers ethan

Great work Ethan, That's a solid pinky on the plastic! Good day out you had. I wanted to go get out an find some whiting and skippy too but we went out to the bank too early and it was sloppy as so came straight back in to the sound. Shoulda stayed out there as it was nice when it calmed off! Those 40cm skippy would have gone hard.
