g'day was all set to grab mejuttys plotter today but my mate rekns hes going to splash out on a lowrance.. so ill wait ;P if anyones chasing one cheap mejutty has a northstar 538 for 350$ with 2009 card, bit of a bargain...
but back to charts- ive just been lookign at them in more depth- trying to get points off teh map, theres this bit north of westend few clicks, wheres its from 46m to 51m back to 46m 53m 51m and back to 46m is this worth looking at?
todays trip got called off coz there was a dentist to go see (mate had toothache) but all set for thursday
looking at the map im guessing bearings are 31 55 01 s 115 26 03 e that should put me in 53m of water right? if anyone has the ability to check that, please confirm or berate me.. :D cheers, dwayne

Those coordinates
would put you in about 46m by my reckoning.

51 meter hole almost exactly
51 meter hole
almost exactly 12 k's north of western most tip
If I spent half as long fishing , as I do reading this bloody forum , I'd be twice the fisherman I am.

Correct
I think the coordinates given are about 0.5nm west of the hole you refer to grayzeee. Does it get to 51m, my chart shows 49m?

To answer your question
To answer your question Hekser, I would say most bottom fishing spots that can be located off a chart are generally well hammered, others may disagree but I only fish ground that I have located myself and cannot be found on a chart or plotter.

Graham, I think Paul G is an exception to the rule, that bugger could catch a Dhuie in a bathtub!!! Others, me included, have to work considerably harder to get our fish!!
