antenna has probably gone.I'm
antenna has probably gone.
I'm on my second.
You can get a replacement off ebay for a negligible price (less than $20 delivered if I recall correctly) or a genuine one for big$$
I bought a couple and always keep a spare in my tackle bag now as got caught out when mine failed
When asked by a non-fisherman 'how many fishing rods do you really need?' the correct answer is either:
n+1 (where n is the number of fishing rods you currently own); or
n-1 (where n is the number of fishing rods which would cause your significant other to dump you.

same
Just ordered one from ebay. Cost me $6.99 delivered. Comming from China with a delivery approx 14 - 27 May. My 5500 crapped itself at sea. Was working fine then couldnt pick up the sats. Is only my back up so no big deal. Seems to be a common problem with Navman. Will let you know if it fixes the problem

Power to antenna
I had a Furuno model and had the same problem. Spoke to local dealer who advised check fuses etc (separate power for the antenna) as they can get dirty. Once I found the fuses replaced it and all OK.
Just checked them every 3 months as part of my ongoing maintenance
