they might give you some spots, but all the spots would be very well fished and every man and his dog would know where they are

Trial and error mate, it's the only way you will find the spots. Can't be a good fishing session every time.

Water helps

Sat, 2011-01-01 22:42

Take a look outside and then go find some water. We all do the same and spend a lot of time doing it. Set your own plan and enjoy the time with your pal. Fish or no fish that has to be a bonus.

Lots of good fishing guys

Sun, 2011-01-02 03:41

On this site, But we dont all catch each time

Colin and myself get up at 3.30 in the morning and travle miles, And come home sometimes with no fish

Put the time in and look for them, Or bring them to you =======Any old fish left in the freezer== And then chop it up and put bits under the sand right on the water line And it will wash in bit by bit

Then the fish will come to you

I don't know...

Sun, 2011-01-02 10:02

...I thought that thread he posted about driving a tinny with a 5hp motor from Hillarys to Jurien was pretty funny

Seriously, the kid's 14 and very enthusiastic...remember, when a lot of us were that age there was no internet and therefore no fishing forums to ask questions on. MY 14yo sits in front of the X box all day...wish he'd get off his ass and at least go outside!

Fishing addiction...you should PM somebody like Eric (diehard) since I think he's about your age and is a mad keen shore fisho in your area. He's also quite cluey and really puts the effort in, I'd be very surprised if he couldn't at least point you in the right direction.

Mate cheers for that,And FA,

Mate cheers for that,

And FA, you really have to specifiy? on what you want. what line do you have? no good using 10kg mono when your going for those whiting and skippy in the channel ;)

Few standard places to try.

Light house- Cast straight west, using a running sinker to swivel to 6lb leader (fluro pref.), size 4 bait holder, small strips of squid... you have to cast out and let it stay there dont reel in (only the slack) and when you feel  a bite dont go for a nit strike just a quik lift of the rod while reeling in line slowly. used to do this for 4-5 hours and get sometimes no fish or a bonus 8.

also if yo udont want something to eat but want a reeeel challenge, get your mono put 10-15lb (15lb pref. these big buffs bite you off), so about 1m of fluro and do any knot that works for you ( Uni-knot is the best) but anything that is GOOD and wont snap before your leader does... hook? use a size 6-4 gama circle hook.

now its bait thats tricky... bit of a secret but i found out its the technique in striking that gets you the fish... **Flower, Pollard, and *SEA* water. use 2 parts flower to 1 part pollard and use enough water to make it doughy... not to sticky or its just useless and not to doughy or it just falls of to easy...

Tip.... When you get a big one, and you'll feel it, let your drag loosish* and let it run keep your rod high as the go under the rocks... also make sure you tire the fish out as it will flap on the rocks and injure itself (a net will help A LOT!) also a lot of the times with big ones is they fight so hard they did to be swimed and that takes around 2 minutes...

anyways i hope this helps a lot mate!

Catchya around!!!

dunno if that ,s gonna get you anywhere, but go to a good beach with good currents and find a gutter, from my old experiences in perth , or hit the bridges on the river, we used to get some big mullas late night, cott groyne, also not bad,  explore mate burns also good, and moore rivermouth,
