New Battery For Boat?

Hey fellow fishos.
I am looking at getting a new battery for the old boy's boat for Xmas. The one in there at the moment is getting a bit old and doesn't hold it's charge too well these days. Personally I think it is something on the boat where money should not be an issue because without a battery, the motor won't start. In saying that, I don't want to get ripped off either. Just after some advice on what to buy? It is a 5.3m Trailcraft runabout and I'm not sure what sort of battery is in there at the moment? Anything to look out for in a battery? And where is a good place to buy one?
Cheers.

New battery
When we picked up our new 590 Trailblazer last month, I insisted on a 1000 CCA (Cold Cranking Amps) battery, which was supplied by the RAC. This one has oodles of grunt, but like any piece of equipment, needs to be maintained properly. Can't tell you the cost as it was part of the deal but I agree with you that it's not something to scrimp on.
There's nothing worse than the sound of a dead battery!!
