Hi Guys
I have a 2008 nissan navara i love this car to bits as it does what i want..But i have had a ew problems with it in stalling after starting.
Now its a manual 2.5ltr turbo desiel..... Now the issue is sometimes when u start the car it just turns it self of then takes couple times to re start it again even tho the clutch is flat to floor. I am just wondering if anyone else has had the same problem and got it fixed or are in the same boat as me i wanna get this sorted before i go on holiday as i dont want this happening when i am towing the boat
so if anyone has this problem and can help it will be much greatful
Cheers
Hayden

Mine does it every now and again. Mine is a 07 model. It hardly ever does it so I am not worried about it as have done many big trips in my car and never any problems, heading to exmouth in week and am taking it. I find it only happens under load like when air con is on

I have a D40 navara and
I have a D40 navara and found the Manual Fuel Primer Bulb gets really soft after a few years and sucks itself in and blocks flow of fuel I believe. Pop ur bonnet and check the bulb isnt sucked inwards.
Also I wouldnt recomend idling for long periods in hot ambient temperaures as the bulb gets even softer and does it while you drive hahah! Replacing the Primer Bulb and fuel filter should fix things and apparantly the Computer Mapping need to be reset after fuel filter is changed out. Some service centres might forget to do this and has also caused some grief.
I found if you have a fault your better taking your car to a reputable diesel specialist rather then the stealerships. Stealerships are fine for general servicing(sometimes) but I found with faults they tend to make a mountain out of a mole hill as its an oppurtunity to make some $$. Ive read some stories of owner s being told to fork out big $$(replace fuel Pumps and common rails) and still not fix the problem. Theyre all the same Nissan, Toyota, Holden, Ford etc etc
Still happy with how my Nav is going 5 years on and have done some kms and seen much of the state.

I have a D40 as well, and
I have a D40 as well, and mine has done it a very little bit, but I just give it a bit of throttle and away she goes. Started first time 99% of the time, cold, hot, doesn't make a difference. Good car, pulls hard with a chip.

yer mines does it maybe 1 or 2 times a month.... but when it stalls and go to re start it takes awhile to get the throttle up and fumes that come out stink
