With a name like that, why did you sell out to Pissan?

380 forever!! Any way I dont know Pissans too well but if you going to chip a 4 pot

Is it Intercooled? have you fattened the pipes? Im no expert but factor that all into

it. Before you waste money on a Toyota road block!

Haha nice one I would expect that from a docker supporter....jokes ...... The motor is stock so 3ltr turbo top mount intercooler . And I am not familiar with flattening pipes?????
Any info would be great. She drives beautiful without the trailer but when I travel for work to gero and dongara it gets a bit annoying
. And yeh the 360 s are saweeet so r the turbo 265

improvement

Sat, 2010-10-23 17:51

hemi my mate has chipped both of his rigs 3.0lt diesels and found some improvement, the other is to change over the exhaust with a custom built Taipan system once thsi is done it gives the nissan better holding power on the hills and seems to cruise abit better on the longer runs,  my mate has a 6.5 mt glass boat and he usually returns around 25lts /100 k to give you an idea, my 99 4.5 lt cruiser on lpg does 20 lt /100 in the same run only its 60/70 lit /lpg

Yeh I put the chip in this avo it has improved the mid power and take off a
bit but the torque is heaps better I turned the corner with my 1.5 tonne trailer and she chirped. I have to go to dongara again tis week so I will let u know on the fuel consumption and the dreaded hill climb

Outcome

Wed, 2010-10-27 20:41

Well after a drive to dongara and back on the new coast drive with the safari d chip in the patrol I have to say it tows a heap better overtakes with ease but at 17 ltrs per 100 kms .......to me it's worth the extra fuel cause the car doesn't work no where near as hard to tackle the hills and slow drivers...defiantly worth the $$$

If your running standard exhaust i would be watching egt temps especially towing.Don't want something exploding out of the motor.
