North metro squid?

Hi guys,
What are some good places north of the river for land based squid?
I have tried hillarys marina north rockwall and had no luck... im using quality lures but still nothing...
Any other good spots up this way?

Buy a 15 dollar inflatable
Buy a 15 dollar inflatable boat from bigw, turn the two oars into one kayak paddle, head to pinnaroo point and paddle out from there, the weed beds in 3 m will hold squid and should fire up in the coming months.
I am, as I've said, merely competent. But in an age of incompetence, that makes me extraordinary.
