North mole snapper

My Dad and I are heading down to South Mole on Saturday morning hoping for a lucky LBSnapper. Can anyone suggest a rig to use? I would normally use a paternoster, 2 dropper loops, 8/0 and 5/0 keeper hook but I'm not sure if this would be suffice for snapper off the rocks?
Any help or advice would be much aappreciated cheers Luke

You can use Paternosters but
You can use Paternosters but you'd probably be better off with a Doubled snelled 5/0 and putting a scalie on, or fresh squid if you can get it
Use a three way swivel and a star sinker or grapple sinker to try and keep bottom when you've got the large swells & current. You might get away with 6oz but I'd take 8oz+ for this weekend's conditions

Thanks for the advice mate. The main plan was to go squidding off the rocks and I decided to go for a fish in between, so I'm hoping to get some fresh squid anyway :)
if I have any joy ill post up some pics if not....well at least I'm getting wet ;) lol
