old fishing books

my old man gave me 2 old fishing books yesterday.
Anglers Omnibus 5th edition, 1960
&
Complete Book of Australian Fishing edited by Roger Hungerford, 1977
i had a flick through them both, i like comparing the styles of rigs and thoughts on catching certain species between then and now. my general idea is that nothing has really changed apart from advances in gear(braid ect..).
i doubt the books are worth anything but they might be when i give them to my son

One main difference I have
One main difference I have noticed with old fishing books is the amount of photos with massive numbers of kept fish. Back in those days the more you could catch and kill the better. Good to see it's not like that anymore.
