Old Quintrex dinghy seat removal

I have an old 1968 Quintrex champion aluminum dinghy that I use as
a car topper . I want to move the rear seat forward but can’t for the life of me figure out how to get the seat out .
There are no riverts or bolts holding it in and I can tap it with a hammer and move it about an inch
back and forth but no further . Does anyone have any idea how these seats were fixed in place . There is foam under the seat
and no visible signs of how it is fixed in . The front seat is bolted in and the middle one is welded .
only have one pic on my phone but gives you the idea of layout

i would guess that it is just sitting in place in the recessed channel and is restricted from moving by the rubber which sits between the seat and the hull - along with 50 years of paint and grime!
i would try this
squirt detergent on the front side of the channel (where the seat is going to slide too)
get a bottle jack and some boards to spread the load (between side of seat and transom) and slowly wind up the bottle jack
tap each side of the seat with hammer whilst doing it too

Yep she's an old girl Lol, but still floats.
I also thought it just sat in the channel.
Tried squirting crc in channel and can get it to move quite freely for about an inch them seems to hit solid when hitting with hammer ,dented back of seat in the process . May try your suggestion with the jacks but still think something is hindering movement
