Righto fiswrecked people
I am getting a new boat made, a 5.2 meter.  I need a good trolling motor to go with it.  Please feel free to pass on thoughts and experiences.  Probably either  a 90 or a 115.  Any info is greatly appreciated.

pilbara brad as youve

pilbara brad as youve proable read a few of my fishing trips revolve around packing the boat to the gunnels and heading away from the crowds camping.most trips revolve around 5 to 7 days . some of the gear we take has alot of weight e.g grogg generators engels water ice and of course fuel and a couple of fat boy mates. ive got a 90 2 banger on the back of a 5.75 alli .it struggles to plane and on some accasions it cant ,due to the overload . a mate had a 4.75 quinnie with a new 75 honda on the back .that really struggled.so in my opinion if ya thinking of doing the camping thing ide bite the bullet an deffinately go the bigger donk. and when ya not doing the camping thing .hang the fark on as the boat will boogie along bro... jmho

Just fitted a suzuki 115 on my 5.5 and she is fantastic, quiet, smooth and economical,

would not go back to a 2 stroke again.

go the 115!

Yeh Brad, as mentioned go the 115 mate and the extra punch is always welcomed but never not needed. I've got a 4 stroke Suzi and rate the motor......yamaha and Honda's are good also.....cant go wrong with 4s imo!
