What overhead do you recommend for heavy beach work with a 15' Saltiga Balistic 8-12 oz and up to 4olb line

I couldn't look past a Torium/Trinidad 30 size. Great line capacity, good drag systems (better on the trinny) and cast a mile. Can also use for boat work if you want to do a bit of trolling without forking out a new combo.

+1 for the torium!i use one
+1 for the torium!
i use one myself and the free spool is just amazing when casting! drag is just as smooth, and also a nice loud ratchet ;)
Would also consider looking at Daiwa Saltist 50 star drag, they can put up with more bashing then the torium....

Saltist 50 or of you have the money a saltiga,
As the man said a toruim 30 is good. If youi want the big stuff and can cast an overhead reel then consider the Torium 50 as well.

I have used several o/h reels in the past and now own a Trinidad 20 & 30 for the last 10 years. Reckon they are the best reels on the market. I would fit it out a Trinidad 30 for your rod. Good luck.

I have a trinidad 30A and
I have a trinidad 30A and torium 50 and both are awesome, the torium50 is slide baiting or ballooning only reel as its just to hard to be doing multiple casts with all the time, my torium has been abused and has held up well and the only problem I've had is I have just melted the drag so I have a set of carbontex drag washers on the way. the trini is awesome cast well and is so smooth and a much better option for casting a fair bit. As mentioned the saltists are good to and my old one was awesome till I upgraded to the trini.
always looking for a new challenge!!
