Finally got a fish on SP,

After many attempts this yr fishing marinas, beaches, rivers i finally landed a fish using a soft plastic. I was using a gulp 3in minnow black and white and 2in grub pumpkin on 9lb line. Hooked into 6 of the mongrels but only landed the 1 which peeved me off but had a blast either way, cant wait to get back out there again next week . Im pretty certain it was mullet but if im wrong let me know. Caught Mindari near the pub.

Wasnt targetting them intentionally lol but hey ill take what i can. Fish are to far apart specially being LB. ill be using the mullet for bait tonight no doubt

Cheers Leemo. honestly it swam strait at me lol. the others i hooked on too gave more fight all spat the bait right at the rocks. But yeah cant wait to use the mullet for some bait and hopefully can catch something else on my Sp's

I have gotten some hooters,
I have gotten some hooters, well over 4kg from a spot in the canning... all on lures. copped an absolute shellacking on 6lb from an absolute horse once..... as JR would say, "he's getting beat like a government mule!"

Good work mate the first one
Good work mate the first one is always the hardest to catch. It took me 8 months to catch a fish on a demersal jig and now I've got a pretty good hit rate. Good work with sticking with it
