Overwidth Boat/trailer information required

Trying to find out the regulations regarding towing an overwidth boat . Can anyone give me a link to look at on the net .

Someone mentioned to me that the regulations have changed and you can now tow after dark but cant find any info.

Info required are regulations and how you go about applying for a permit , who do i contact .

Cheers

Paul

Hi Paul

Give Mainroads a call tell them what your after and they will email the forms to fill in there's 3 all up if you have never done it before, register the trailer to carry a oversize load, register as an operator and another carn't remember it off the top of my head.

There helpfull and send the info same day or the day after and you'll get your permit emailed to you I got mine in a couple of days after filling in the paperwork.

There website gives you all the info needed as to the legalities of towing oversided loads, theres a link with the new updated rules.

Not yet . I have been slack and didn't try and sell mine anywhere other than posting it on here a while back . Time got away from me so ended up keeping it and took it up to Exy again this year . If I don't get my act together I'll be taking it up next year as well LOL .

Just starting to look at boats again so mine will be up for sale. Will be sad to see her go but going halves with a fishing buddy and looking for a fresh start and something a bit bigger a bit like Paul G's

Paul from what I know you can

Paul from what I know you can tow up to 2.7 all hours you still need a permit and signs front and back .Relevant paper work in glove box. So you can still get an early start and late finish .
