 Rocky from shorefire who we

Rocky from shorefire who we fished with rated it the best part of a 70kg fish so considering we weren't really targeting them was absolutely stoked. Was lucky enough to have a mate(samc) there ready to get some shots and he time it perfectly. Never realised how much the slime on them burns your skin it was like fire!

Cracka. You'll do well if you ever beat that PB for a saily. Great fish. Top action shots as well.

I loved the place it was so nice and very well run by rocky. Wanna go back ASAP but trying to find someone to come when he has vacancies is hard.

So do I

Fri, 2012-05-11 18:37

Booked my air tickets last october, right after my trip for this years visit.

Unfortunately Malaysian air suspended its flight from KL to CI, only way to get there is from perth now

Rang up my friend from perth and might as well do an exmouth trip this october instead.  2012 trip, 3 weeks in exmouth.

CI, next year for sure after the monsoon.

Agree with you Baker, one of the best places I'd tried. Popping off the rock is magic, especially at dawn.

Ken dog didn't measure it as

Fri, 2012-05-11 19:25

Ken dog didn't measure it as basically we were trying to get it back as quickly as possible. As for line class I think it was on 24kg which is what he runs on all his tiagras I think due to the high numbers of tuna and wahoo means sharks so basically gotta try get em in quick, still took the best part of 30mins to get in as it sat deep in 200-300 metres of water wasnt an easy one to get up. We thought it might be buggered when it and up but it swam off bloody strongly we barely had to swim t just goes to show what a strong powerful fish they are!
