after a shit start to the morning the weather backed off and got out into a few. This one went 18.1kg biggest on jig to date. Still trying to jig up a dhu bigger than what I have speared. The search continues.

That’s going slow over the lump. I can pick lumps up doing 55km an hour with just the standard P66. What I have found is the bottom lock will show a single high spike about 3-4mm thick at speed. Then it’s a frantic 180 and follow the snail trail back over it. Just comes down to settings and transducer install.y first boat was a semi rigid inflatable boat and was pain to get it to read. Ended up using a transom mounted fairing block. But now I just have a standard savage Hull it was a lot easier to set up. Only issue with p66 is they work for most boat hulls but some they have issues with.

nice fish!!....how far off the coast u generally have to go to get in that depth? I have been a bit hesitant to head out wide, but desperation is starting to outweigh the lack of confidence!
