PB Mully

Have to have a brag about this one. Lost the last three big size mully's I hooked 2 pulled hooks and one my knot came undone in the surfs edge. Have not stopped kicking myself over the knot mistake. Hopefully the lucks back @ 147cm and estimated at least 30kg.

Nice work, monster
How long did it take you to land that and what was the bait that sucked him in? Been trying some whole whiting without any success myself.

Not sure about length of the
Not sure about length of the fight, about 1/2 an hour on 15kg braid. Sure gave me a dance around the end was pretty lucky it came in head first on a wave so i used the momentum keeping it head first runnig up the beach as far as the wave let the fish come.
Nothing wrong with whole whitting bait, big fresh sand whitting are my prefered bait and what I catch most my Mully on. Other wise I use whole herring or Tailor Cutlets.
This one was early in the day. I was still catching the fresh bait, it took a mulie. When they are hungry mulies areas good as anything else, just the bigger baits help weed out the pickers.
