Pe 1-3 Jig Rod

 So I got a torium 14 for Christmas, currently spooled up with pe2 ygk Jigman, but I need a rod for this reel, hoping for a pe 1-3/2-4, my budget is around $300, does anyone have any suggestions? Hoping for something that is light as a feather but has lots of backbone for if a surprise sambo takes a look at the jig.
