Pemberton Advice - Catching Redfin

Heading down this weekend chasing marron and while there want to hopefully get a feed of Redfin. We know where to find marron so hoping for someone to offer some advice to catch redfin.

around the old bridge,walk the traks ,using spinners,light rod outfit.

watch for snakes.... cockroach mep is good spinner,others work well,try a thunderbug,brown or silver...cant go wrong...

No marron or redfin left, Best you stay in Perth and save fuel.

 

Only kidding try near Rooneys bridge, best of luck, you could get a wet arse this weekend so bring the oilskin.

 More then 1 or 2 of them at big brook just bash out anything red that has a hook attached and I find you cant go wrong, You also get a good walk while you do it. Otherwise as per first post Warren the Old bridge (take it thats the one on glouster rd down toward Northcliffe)...

Good luck, take a few floating bibbed lures coloured like a baby rainbow with blood on the gills just incase you come across a trout that is feeling like a feed...

Was fishing there earlier in the season for redfin and got some thumpers along the warren river. Go along the heart break drive track, The heartbreak track is a left turn off of old vasse highway (Coming from Pemberton). There is about 4-5 stops along the track to stop for a fish. Using small 3-4 inch plastics and small hard bodied lures like the RMG's or the Min Mins produced fish. In the Lefroy brook there are some healthy Rainbow trout about too.
