There is a beach entrance
There is a beach entrance from the carpark off the road called Barndi Walk.
Drive onto the beach and head north, you will go past the river mouth and about 5-600m further up you will see where the weed and reef stops and it is clear sand.Fish on the edge of the reef with a float and some burley and you will catch as many herring as you want,as well as some big gardies, just remember the burley.
There have been quite a few sand whiting as well but sizes have been down, still good fun for the kids.

Have a look on Google Earth
Have a look on Google Earth at the area if you can, you can see the shore reef very clearly and you could work out where you want to fish amongst it ;)
