Poxy salmon are here....
Submitted by Chris fish on Tue, 2013-03-19 09:56
Don't want to be another person asking if the salmon are here yet or how far they are going to get ect ect as I'm sure we are all sick to death of those posts by now so here is some actual proof of the schools starting to move around a bit with the last week getting fish most nights with some horses up to 10-11kg on stickbaits and the light gear.

Caught near Albany, most
Caught near Albany, most fish where 7-8kg some smaller but a few much larger. Been getting them from most of the usual spots around town, still hit and miss but they are there if you look around. Few very nice tailor have been in with these schools as well

Hahaha I know, it was getting a bit rediculous wasn't it. Thought I would do the right thing and show some proof even if it throws everyone into a frenzy. Already sick of the stupid fish they kept eating my shark baits last night haha

i wouldn't get too excited.... Albany is a LONG way away, and its late March...... i would be expecting to see Salmon up past Augusta by now if they were going to make the west coast

I don't think anyone really
I don't think anyone really expects them to make it far up the west coast anymore anyway? I think everyone gets excited now that they're only a couple hours drive away, It's well worth the drive down there in my opinion. I'll be down there this time next month can't wait!

So glad I'm I'm dirk hartog for Easter, the crowds are going to be insane!! Plenty of fish showing up now water temp has dropped 1-2 degrees so the salmon seem to be following that temp change

Thanks for the report Chris. I heading to Albany just after Easter, hopefully there will be some salmon left. Else it will be a disappointment flying back all the way from KL.

Plenty about Albany atm
About 20 tonne caught and brought in this morning but none in that 4000 odd fish as big as Chris Fishers Australian record breakers.
