Quick Exmouth trip
Submitted by carnarvonite on Sun, 2020-07-05 07:56
Took a couple of days off to head up to Exmouth to catch up with son and his family. Put his boat in at Tantas and headed out to the 250 metre area, sloppy conditions with a 15-20 NE wind. Left ramp at 10 and back on the trailer at 3 as Jeff was on call for the airport from 4 and had to be back in phone coverage.
Got the 2 rubies and dropped something real big, snapped a big thickskin off at the boat before heading into the 150 metre spot to get our limit of goldband.
Been over 12 months since I dropped a line into deeper water and it was nice to bring some good fish home

Photo bomb
You must have seen the chook photo bomb on Jeff's facebook page, they come running every time the boat comes back in for a peck at the fish and eat the lateral line pin bone cut outs when he dices them up small.
They were originally sentinal birds that he claimed when their time was up and brought them home, very friendly, good layers and boss his cats
