Reelax poles
Have had problems with their 5.5mtr poles on my boat. Had them shatter near the base 3 times now and according to Reelax they are only rated to 24kg even though their website says 37kg

REELAX POLES
1st time while using roller trollers towing a pakula sprocket. No strike from fish just gave up. Tensions set correctly very experienced crew. Biggest problem I have is to upgrade to 6.1mtr poles to suit 37kg means upgrading the bases to suit as Reelax say the ones fitted won't handle them. Will be sorting it out at the end of our season.

Outriggers
I cannot explain as to why the reelax poles broke however if you are running heavy release tensions then perhaps a tie back from the outrigger tip to a forward tie off point restricting the flex on the outrigger may be in order.
