If you mean the Jetty in

If you mean the Jetty in front of the Yacht Club, then yes-but I didn't know it was going to be this soon?

The Jetty is going to have another "facelift",then the whole area in front of the Jetty is to be landscaped and "beautified"

Will it still be open for

Will it still be open for Easter? It would be bad to shut down that jetty during Easter because it is really popular.

 Rockingham Council put up

Tue, 2014-06-10 16:12

Rockingham Council put up there sign today in front of the Jetty.

Sign says it's going to be closed for  "2014/2015".

That's a long closure for a popular jetty.

Fishing in Rockingham and jetty closures

Fri, 2014-06-13 14:00

They wrecked public fishing in Palm Beach when they demolished the old jetty. I caught my first fish off there when on a family holiday sixty six years ago. Family hols were every year for most of my young years. I did live there three times through my older life and boy did I catch some fish from yellowtail to snapper and mulloway to quite a few huge unstoppables. Since leaving there in 86 and coming back for a visit and to throw a line with my grandkids to keep it going in the family, what a big disappointment
