I have a boat rod that I new to repair (New Guide on the Tip required). Any recommendations who repairs rods north of the river. I see old posts for Jim Head but he ha moved to NSW.

Buy hot glue and correct
Buy hot glue and correct sized tip from a decent tackle shop.
It takes a couple of minutes to fix yourself.

I wouldn't trust hot glue
as far as you could throw it. especially if you are going to fish warmer climates. I have had hot glue fail with the tip rotating. 5 minute araldite is a much better option. Pop your tip off with a lighter and match it up at a tackle shop. Most shops will have replacement tips. Failing that take it into a shop and let them do it. I would insist on 5 minute araldite though
FEEEISH ONNN!!!
