Hey guys
heading to Rotto in a few weeks and looking to pick up some whiting and even som Tailor if they are about.
Staying in Longreach and hoping to not have to go far as I will be on foot. Have searched site and found a heap of info but nothing too recent.
has anyone been lately or even if you have any tips that would be great!
Cheers

i always catch good tailor baitcasting mulies off the end of the
main jetty from sunset and dark casting just past the lights lots of herring also squid. Watch out for the local pelican there he stands up on the light on the right hand side of the jetty and uses the wind to shit all over the fishos on the jetty

the basin at night
use glow sticks bait cast mulies. The natural just on hightide infront of Kingston barracks. Pretty much anywhere that has whitewash it's just a matter of finding the school. Still some of the heaviest tailor I have caught come from rotto

Was there a couple weeks ago
Was there a couple weeks ago and did well on skippy, herring and bream at the jetty where the ferries pull in at sunset and night. I also did well on the whiting at the beach near kingstown across from the army jetty about a 10-15 min wallk. god luck!
