starting this thread early due to many of fishwrcked members being toothless PIES fans......ha ha ha
hope to hear randall & dale barking there one eyed ways about the shockers (mind you there final win there last year was impressive)

Here we go, the eagle's fans are all excited again because they finally beat a team inside the eight, just inside the eight that is. All of a sudden they'ye back in finals contention and theit crocky fans are sticking their heads up and showing their faces.... and just for the fact that the only team you have referred to in a derogatory way is my team, I now hope that collingwood give you a flogging.
And buy the way, remember a final last year, when no one gave freo a chance down in geelong? Everyone wrote us off. Remember what we did to Geelong in perth this year. Freo to win this week and get back on track to a top two finish.

I dont think that on current form they have a hope in hell.
Forms down, last years defeat at CP will still be a sore point for Geelong, and a great motivator.
And remember I am "2 team Crasny" so as a WA based team I do support them (somewhat). For randall's sake I just hope Lyon has some tricks up his sleeve and might have been "bluffing". Somehow I dont think so with number 1-2 on the cards, but now appear a long shot. I suspect 4 is the best they can hope for.
As for the Eagles its pride on the line. Getting in the 8 - I dont think so, but showing they arent tanking is just about as important.

No Vic team in my top "prefered" teams. And I would support Freo against any other team other than us.
BUT at the end off the day I am one eyed eagles. When I think about it, I cheer when for example Sydney or Brisbane were in the GF against Victorian teams, but that doesnt make me a supporter.
Bantering on here for a few years will probably turn me off Freo, and some off my Freo supporting friends have increased my WC passion, just because its fun to stirr them up.
On another note, I suspect all the Media attention about the lack of size in WC's midfield is a sure way off firing them up, and they showed that last week. If they maintain that "rage" Collingwood hasnt got a dream. If not well they might be a chance against us, but travelling for Collingwood????
Its always nice when they DO have to travel, because they are crap at that. And thats purely because they dont do that often.

Fyfe comes and goes of the ground several times with an obvious shoulder problem - why did he continue to come back on, surely that taking a big risk. Wouldn't think there would be too many coaches that would let that happen.

Proud of the effort to almost beat Geelong and the umpires, Burnt Toast Egirls normally have their own umpires as well. The next game against Geelong will be a different story, decent umpires, Tendai, Ibbotson, Sun Sun, will be back to from a better structure up forward.
Well done Freo gave the Geelong a very big scare, what was the final free kick tally? Nat Fyfe with one shoulder is still better than most other players in the AFL.

The difference between the first three quarters and the last is that in the latter freo finally started getting their hands on the ball first, hence geelong weren't copping head high tackles or getting monstered in marking contests.
I am disappointed in the result, but not disappoint with the game or how freo played. At the end of the day we had two opportunities to win but didn't. But we can match the best teams so while the advantage of a top two finish is out of the question, we can still match it with the top three. We'll just have to travel more.

You can keep posting your trivial pics Tim, but it does nothing for me, I have a giggle at some, but most goes straight through to the keeper. We had 2 chances to ice the game and we failed, time to make up for that next weekend against your guys. Roughy has a case to answer and will probly be missing, but I've a feeling they will only fine him and Hodgy will need to get through this week. But back to the umpiring yesterday, it will be talked about all week, it was reactive to say the least. I mean really, Stevie J grabs Crozier around the throat and then throws himself to the ground and gets a free, I'm stuffed if I know what the umpire saw, but that resulted in a sausage roll for Geelong. That sort of crap defines games and it was as bad as Lindsay Thomas's dive last week. But 31 to 14? C'mon now. Hawks next week,,, BRING IT ON.

This loss puts Freo at a huge disadvantage
You can waffle all you like Randall but the conspiracy continues..and that is Fremantle will NEVER win a grand final as long as the AFL continue to be the VFL and it won't change until the game becomes truly national.
That umpiring was deliberate and is orchestrated by the powers $$$ at the top end of the AFL..as stated below.
Dimetrio stated publicly a 3 or 4 years ago that it would be a disaster for the AFL $$$ if Freo won a grand final..or even played off in a grand final. He later apoligised for the comment, but their agenda was exposed.
