Rous Head boat fire

Just heard that Mahi Mahi 111 was damaged in the fire at Northport boat builder in Rous Head.
Bernie will be heartbroken with this latest set back. Best wishes go out to him and hope he's back on the water soon.

Bloke whom sits beside me at work, it was his Uncles business. Former owner of Razorline.

Taken to hospital with smoke inhalation.

That smoke from burning fiberglass is nasty stuff.

 Carnarvonite is correct

Carnarvonite is correct, it was Mahi Mahi 111 that caught on fire down at Northport a couple of days ago.
She had been trucked down to Northport for repaires from the fire in Exmouth and the fire at Northport started while work was being done on her.

We stuck our head in the shed and had a look, bought a tear to my eye seeing her like that.

He's a great guy and it's a bloody shame that such a thing has happened to his boat (or anyone's else's for that matter).
Does anyone know how it started yet. (for sure no guesses)

 Sparks from welding started

Sparks from welding started the fire. They had to cut through the hull to get access to the fire as it was in the engine room
