Running a HDS9 touch in demo mode

Hi People.

Will I do any harm firing up my new HDS9 touch using a 12V source in the house without transducers connected???

Wanting to learn how to use it in the comfort of the house.I have a GOOD CTek battery charger that has a 12V supply mode.

as long as you don't run your transducer dry (out of water) you wont do any damage, transducers run very hot out of water, which is how people fry them, they are ok for a minute or so but any longer they die. You can always put it in a bucket of water to keep it cool while your playing with it, but switch to demo mode and you can play for as long as you like.
